Visiting Taiwan's Academia Historica on Jan.4 2024 to collect the historical material of the Chinese Association of Political Science (CAPS) since 1932.  The 32nd CAPS Taipei is on duty.  Prof. Xu's new book will be published by Cambridge Univ. Press.  I apologize that no more seats were available for some participants.  

We welcome Mr. Jasper Roctus (UGent & Egmont) to visit NTU and to share EU's relations with Taiwan and China in a historical viewpoint.

It should be the last large activity during my two-year Secretary-general of the Chinese Association of Political Science (Taipei).  Thanks to National Taipei Univ. and the department head Prof. Chih-mei Luo for support.  In 2024-26 I will continue to serve as a director of the CAPS executive committee.

With sponsorship from the Institute of European and American Studies (2002-03), I finished my doctoral study 20 years ago.  Appreciate the support from Prof. Der-chin Horng and IEAS.  I presented our preliminary results (with Dr. Ya-chi Lin) about the impact of the Russo-Ukrainian war on the EMU's convergence, mainly focusing on the unilateral energy subsidies on the yield spreads, a foremost indicator since the sovereign debt crisis.
